Santangelo Funeral Home Staff

Jodie Santangelo is a proud graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute of funeral service from where she graduated in 2007 with her daughter, Emily. Previously, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and worked as a teacher in the West Paterson school system. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Montclair State University with a degree in Counseling, Guidance, and Human Services, becoming certified as a New Jersey State Guidance Counselor. Now, as a funeral director, she is able to use her educational background and experience to offer professionalism and emotional support to those she serves. Jodie is honored to carry on her late husband, Charles’s, work and is delighted to be working side by side with her daughter, Emily, in their family business.

Emily Santangelo is proud to be a third generation funeral director at Santangelo Funeral Home. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Drew University in 2006 where she majored in Psychology. Immediately following, she, alongside her mom, Jodie, attended American Academy McAllister Institute (AAMI) from where her grandfather and father also graduated. She graduated, Summa Cum Laude. Upon graduating, she was the recipient of the Dr. John McAllister Award for outstanding scholarship and the New York Funeral Director’s Association Certificate of Merit for being the student that most exemplifies the ideals of the funeral service profession. Emily was also inducted into Mu Sigma Alpha, a society that honors those funeral service students who have the highest academic achievement. In September 2011, Emily joined the staff of American Academy McAllister Institute as a classroom instructor. She truly enjoyed the opportunity to educate future funeral professionals. In 2014, Emily earned her Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Montclair State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society that recognizes students who are nominated by his/her business school for academic excellence. The society recognizes its members as being "best of the best" in business. Emily is honored to be following in her late father, Charles's, footsteps in providing professional compassion to all the families she serves.

Jodie and Emily are both members of The Woman's Club of Little Falls where they have previously served as Chairmen on several committees.
