Obituary of Sophie Zielinski

Sophie Zielinski (Rembis), 98, of Totowa, formerly of Wallington, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2016 at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly where she has enjoyed living among friends for the past several years. Sophie was born on August 31, 1917 to the late John and Rosalia (Kopec) Rembis. She was the beloved wife of the late Adam Zielinksi; the adored mother of Elaine Nathanson and her late husband Bernard and Marilyn O'Brien; the treasured grandmother of David Nathanson, Lisa Fanning, Daniel Nathanson, and Dana Vanluvender and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother and sister and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be offered on Tuesday from 9-11:00am at St. Joseph's Home Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ. A funeral Mass will follow visitation at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Little Sisters of the Poor. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ourwater Lane, Saddle Brook.
