Obituary of Roselind Gianinio

Roselind "Rose" Gianinio, 80, of Newton, passed away on June 4, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Rose was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Philip and Idamae Gianinio. In addition to being a loving homemaker to her family, she worked as a chef, most recently at the Holiday Inn Express in Minot, ND. Rose was a devoted volunteer for the MS Society, Hope Village in North Dakota, where she cooked for disaster relief, and the American Cancer Society. She was the treasured mother of Harold Capaci and his wife Mary, Corinne Capaci and her husband Michael Ruel, Idamae Renne and her husband Carlo, Rosemary Fattaruso and her husband Joseph, Lauren Hirtes and her fiancé Anthony Nigro and Pamela Capaci. She was the cherished grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 23. She is the dear sister of Philip Gianinio and his wife Kathy and the late Mary Weisner and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Friday at 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive at 9:00am. Cremation will be private.
