Obituary of Alex L Mifka

Alex Luciano Mifka, 59, of Paterson, passed away on February 26, 2016. He was born at Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic, Nj and raised in the Stony Road section of Paterson, New Jersey. He graduated with the class of 1974 from JFK High School in Paterson. Alex loved what he did for work being a HVAC Service Tech and liked being referred to as "Mr. Freeze". He was a loving father to his only son Chad Mifka and grandfather to his first grandson Mason Luciano Mifka-4th generation. He is also survived by his devoted father Luciano Mifka, his sister Giuliana DeFeo and Brother-in-Law and long time friend from grammar school Danny DeFeo, Sr.as well as his sister Madeline Mifka, his Nephew Dr. Danny Jr., and his nieces Sheri Salamanca and goddaughter Amanda Neufeld. He also has Six Great-nieces and nephews: Kaylee and Emilia Salamanca, Justin and Johnny Neufeld, and Emma and Elizabeth DeFeo. Alex's mother, Elizabeth Mifka, passed away in 2001. Alex's daughter Jessica passed away at an early age. Alex was so proud to be a loving grandfather. He will be missed dearly by his family. Rest easy and watch over us. We love you so much. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
