Obituary of Sheila Crawford

Sheila Crawford, (née Harrington), passed away peacefully on March 11, 2016. She was born in Mantua, County Roscommon, Ireland, the youngest of eight children. In 1948, she emigrated to Newark, NJ. In 1955, she married Thomas Crawford, who predeceased her in 1995. In 2005, she moved to St. Joseph's Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, in Totowa, NJ. She was reunited there with her sister, Sr. Marie Bernadette, LSP, until her passing in 2012. Sheila was the cherished mother of Nancy Sutor and her husband Paul and Mary Alice Crawford. She was the treasured grandmother of Patrick Sutor and his wife Sarah, Tommy Sutor and his wife Mary, and Matthew Sutor and the great- grandmother of Kiera Sutor. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at St. Joseph's Home, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 11am at St. Joseph's Home. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Joseph's Home Little Sisters of the Poor 140 Shepherd Lane Totowa, NJ 07512
