Obituary of William H Voorman, Jr.

William H. Voorman, Jr., 83, of Woodland Park, passed away in his home on April 23, 2016. William was born in Paterson, NJ on January 7, 1933 to the late William H. and Susie (Somonski) Voorman. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Before retiring, William worked as a pipe fitter for Local Union #274 in Parsipanny, NJ. He was the beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" (Malloy) Voorman for over 57 years. He was the cherished father of Robert A. Voorman and his wife Janis, Susan Sauer and her husband Stefan, William H. Voorman, III and his wife Carol and Carol Capalbo and her husband David. He was the adored Pop-pop of Kaycia, Katrina, Jessica, Ashley, Stephan, Christopher, Jennie, Natalie, Jimmy, Melanie and Tommy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
