Obituary of Nicoletta Margherita

Nicoletta Margherita (nee Russo), 86, of North Haledon, passed away on May 31, 2016. Nicoletta was born in Casa del Conte, Italy on November 24, 1929 to the late Vincenzo and Amalia (Verrone) Russo. Before retiring, Nicoletta worked for many years as a seamstress with the ILGWU in Paterson. She was the beloved wife of Ralph Margherita for over 60 years; the adored mother of Vincent Margherita and his wife Joanne and Anthony Margherita; the cherished grandmother of Joseph Margherita and his wife Sarah, Nicholas, Michael and Annalise Margherita; and the dear sister of the late Alfonso Russo. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at St. Paul's Church, 286 Haledon Ave., Prospect Park, NJ. Guests may arrive at Santangelo Funeral Home at 8:30am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
