Obituary of Rudolf J Muscarella

Rudolf J. Muscarella, 88, of Woodland Park, passed away on June 12, 2016. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 5, 1928 to the late Joseph and Rosina Muscarella. Before retiring, Rudolf worked in the shoe industry for many years at Pappagallo Shoes in NYC and at Milton Shoes and most recently as a plant manager at S. Goldberg in Hackensack. He was also a member of the Shoe Association #210, the Knights of Columbus #3835 in Little Falls, and was a former coach for the Brooklyn PAL. Rudolf was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Masseria) for over 66 years; the cherished father of Joseph Muscarella, Frank Muscarella and his wife Sandy and John Muscarella and his wife Sharon; the adored grandfather of Joseph Muscarella, Jr. and his wife Kate, Samantha and Michael Muscarella, Paul Muscarella and his wife Nicole, and Dr. Elizabeth Ann Muscarella VanSant and her husband Patrick; and the treasured great grandfather of Jeanine, Joelle, Julianna, Carmine and Vincent Muscarella. Rudolf was predeceased by his sisters Pauline and Lucy Muscarella and Antoinette Aliosi and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4& 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, NJ.
