Obituary of Sadie Marino

Serafina "Sadie" Marino (nee Misito), 87, of Woodland Park, previously of Barnegat and Clifton, passed away on July 24, 2016. Sadie was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 5, 1928 to the late Rosario and Mary (Gangale) Misito. In addition to her role as a loving homemaker, Sadie enjoyed working as a seamstress for many high quality brands such as London Fog and Evan Picone. She also had a passion for Italian cooking, especially for her beloved children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sadie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Marino for 62 years before his passing in 2013. She was the loving mother of Dennis Marino and his wife Sue, Robert Marino and his fiance Rosanna, and Lisa Peterson and her husband John and the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Jennifer and Erica Marino and Allison Peterson. She was predeceased by her brothers David and Angelo Misito and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 &7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Saturday at 11:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home.
