Obituary of Anthony DeCiuceis

Anthony J. DeCiuceis, 95, of Clifton, passed away on August 23, 2016. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 24, 1920 to the late Angelo and Thomasina (Ftocaldo) DeCiuceis. He proudly served in the US Coast Guard during WWII from 1942-1945. Before retiring, Anthony was a textile worker, most recently at Continental Dyeing and Finishing in Paterson. He was a parishioner at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Clifton and a member of the American Legion # 0008 in Clifton. Anthony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dolores (Shepard) DeCiuceis. He was the adored father of Marie Bamper, Jacqueline Morgenstern, and Toni Ann Dechellis and her husband Joseph; the cherished grandfather of Christine Bamper, Robert Bamper and his wife Cheryl, Dolores Menna and her husband Rocco, Deana Casasanta and her husband Philip, Michele Byrnes and her husband Michael, Angela Alcala and her husband Daniel and Joseph Dechellis; and great grandfather of Taylor and Rocco Menna, Celina, Coralyn and Jackie Bamper, Christian, Gianna, and Isabella Casasanta, and Mia Alcala. He was the loved brother of Elizabeth Spagnola and Rose Tavano and was predeceased by many more siblings. He is also survived by his dear friend Betty Tejral and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
