Obituary of Maura P Canary

Maura P. Canary (nee Presto), 95, of Paterson, passed away on August 29, 2016. Maura was born in Santo Tomas, La Union, Philippines, on January 13, 1921 to the late Juan and Maria (Strada) Presto. She was a loving homemaker to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Canary; the adored mother of Margarita Villanueva and her husband Romulo, Zita Amor C. Mankos and her husband Thomas, and Master Sgt. Concepcion Canary; the cherished grandmother of Mori Villanueva and her husband Wilkin Suarez, Raymund Villanueva, Maria Cristina Villanueva and Clarence Anne Legaspi; and great grandmother to Caitlin Suarez and Chloe Angelique Shepard. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:30am-12:30pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will follow visitation at 12:30pm. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
