Obituary of Robert T Gourley

Robert T. Gourley, Sr., 67, of Rockaway, passed away on September 6, 2016. Robert was born in Paterson on March 20, 1949 to the late Alexander and Jennie (Coiro) Gourley. Robert proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969 on board the USS Maddox. Before retiring, Robert worked as a carpenter for many years. He was also a member and past commander of the American Legion Post #121 in Little Falls, NJ. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Peer, his cherished son Robert T. Gourley, Jr., and his adored grandson Robert J. Gourley. He was the dear brother of Alexander Gourley, Dennis Gourley, and Doreen Dooney and her husband Jeffrey and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A service will be held at 7:30pm. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
