Obituary of Steven W Pomante

Steven W. Pomante, 64, of Woodland Park, passed away on September 9, 2016. Steven was born on October 13, 1951. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Later, Steven worked as a mason, most recently at Dudas Masonry Construction in Fairfield. He was also an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Steven was the beloved husband of Karen (Kanis) Pomante for over 33 years; the cherished father of Amanda Pomante; the adored son of Doris Anna Alexander Pomante and the late Victor Pomante; and the dear brother of Lynne Padula and her late husband Phillip, Janet Amory and her husband Hudson, Victor Pomante, Alan Pomante and his wife Sharon, George Pomante and his wife Patricia and Doris Dumont and her husband Sven. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A service will be held during visitation at 7:30pm. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
