Obituary of Elisa Di Salle

Elisa Di Salle (nee Rubino), 93, of Woodland Park, passed away at home on October 21, 2016 surrounded by family. Elisa was born in Pacentro, Italy on November 21, 1922 to the late Germano and Gemma (Cercone) Rubino. In addition to her role as a loving and devoted homemaker, Elisa worked as a seamstress for many years at Betty Lee Fashions in Paterson, NJ. She was also parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Paterson. Elisa was the beloved wife for over 62 years to Silvio Di Salle until his passing in 2009. She was the adored mother of Anna Mirra and her husband Roberto and Silvana Turdo and her husband Michael; the cherished grandmother of Roberto Mirra and his wife Audrey, Michael Turdo and his wife Heather, and Thomas Turdo and his girlfriend Paula; and the treasured great grandmother of Giulio, Chiara Elisa, and Nunzio Silvio. She is the dear sister of Roberto and Bruno Rubino and was predeceased by her brothers Crescenzo, Gaetano, Vincenzo, Antonio and sister Maria. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in law. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8pm and Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church, 410 Union Ave., Paterson. Guests may arrive at funeral home at 8:30am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
