Obituary of Wanda Ana Spallina
Wanda Ana Spallina (nee Dembeck), of Totowa, formerly of North Haledon for 46 years and later of Pompton Plains, passed away on October 24, 2016. Wanda was born in New York, NY to the late Joseph and Mary (Haber) Dembeck. She graduated from Julliard School of Music and enjoyed a career as a concert and classical musician. She also worked in NYC as a dancer in musical shows. Wanda served as church organist for many years at various churches in Wayne, NJ. For 30 years, Wanda and her husband volunteered at St. Joseph's Home of the Elderly in Totowa. She was the beloved wife of the late James P. Spallina (2003) and was also predeceased by her brothers John and Benjamin. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-6pm at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 140 Shepherd Ln., Totowa. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Home on Saturday morning at 10:30am with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Joseph's Home.
