Obituary of Rocco Luigi Mazzoccoli

Rocco Luigi Mazzoccoli, 91, of Paterson, passed away on November 9, 2016. Rocco was born on July 7, 1925 in Montescaglioso, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Teresa (Lospinuso) Mazzoccoli. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Maddalena (Gallipoli) Mazzoccoli; the adored father of Teresa Petrozza and her husband Anthony, Rosa Mazzoccoli and her husband Giovanni, Giuseppe Mazzoccoli and Pasquale Mazzoccoli and his wife Anna; the treasured grandfather of Carmela Petrozza and her husband Mauricio, Pasquale Petrozza and his wife Serafina, Silvia Barletta, Marilena Barletta and her husband Alessandro, Maddalena Speer and her husband Russel, Rocco Mazzoccoli and Teresa Mazzoccoli, and great grandfather of Leyla, Teresa, Ava, Zoe, Nicole, Janica and Russel. In his spare time, Rocco enjoyed spending time in his garden and making wine. He was a truly dedicated family man who will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 W. Broadway, Paterson. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
