Obituary of Thomas M Carrabba
Thomas M. Carrabba, 91, of Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of Paterson, passed away on November 13, 2016. Thomas was born in Paterson, NJ to the late Frank and Josephine (Aliotti) Carrabba. Thomas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army Force during WWII earning a Purple Heart. Later, Thomas worked as a detective for the Paterson Police Department for over 25 years. Most recently, he worked as a superintendent of Maintenance for the Paterson Post Office for over 10 years before retiring.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Lucy (Samborgna) Carrabba for 66 years; the adored father of Frank Carrabba and his wife Lee, Tom Carrabba and his wife Teresa and Robert Carrabba and his wife Lorel; the cherished grandfather of Christopher Carrabba and his wife Erin, Lauren Martino and her husband Steven, Tegan Perrotta and her husband Chris, Tricia Johnsen and her husband Russ and Olivia, Nicolas and Lila Carrabba; and the great grandfather of Emma, McKenna, Alyssa, Nicole, Isabella, Christopher, and Jonathan. He is the dear brother of Theresa Scine and brother in law of Rose Carrabba and was predeceased by his brother Carmen and sister Emma Martin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9:30am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
