Obituary of Grace M Del Guercio

Grace M. Del Guercio (nee Marraffa), 85, passed away on November 22, 2016. Grace was born in Paterson on May 22, 1931 to the late Leonard and Mary (Cannito) Marraffa. Grace earned a Bachelor's Degree and double Master’s Degree from Montclair State University and continued her education through to a PhD equivalency. Before retiring, Grace was the Vice Principal of Passaic County Technical Institute for many years. In addition to her passion for education, Grace was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church and an active member of the Woodland Park Democratic Organization. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Del Guercio; the adored aunt of Joseph Messina and his wife Tracy, Sharon M. and Donald J. Gall and many great nieces and nephews; and the dear sister in law of Donald H. Gall. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lena Messina and Concetta “Connie” Gall and brother-in-law, Joseph J. Messina. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
