Obituary of Ellsworth Coleman

Ellsworth “Hap” Coleman, Jr., 82, of Paterson, passed away on January 14, 2017. He was born in Totowa on August 10, 1934 to the late Ellsworth and Marie (Payne) Coleman. Hap was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golfing. He was the beloved husband of Frances (Bridge) Coleman for 62 years; the cherished father of Ronald Coleman and Elaine, Robert Coleman and his wife Linda and John Coleman and his wife Patty; and the adored grandfather of Jeffrey, Daniel, Michael, Vanessa, and Christopher. Hap was the dear brother of Myrtle Dalessio and her husband Edwin and Helen Martens and her husband John and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
