Obituary of Vito Joseph Tafaro

Vito Joseph Tafaro, 45, of Haskell, passed away on January 18, 2017. Vito was born in Paterson, NJ on April 20, 1971 to the late John and Judith "Judy" (Ritter) Tafaro. Vito retired as a corporal at the Passaic County Sherriff's Department and had a passion for riding motorcycles. He was the beloved husband of Victoria (Tobin) Tafaro and the adored father of Rachel and Vito, Jr. Vito was the treasured brother of John Tafaro, Jr. and his girlfriend Colette Cariello, Daniel Tafaro and his wife Tohbi, and Edward Tafaro and his wife Lynnemarie and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vito was the cherished nephew of Angela Tafaro Mc Cran and her husband Edward, the dear son in law of Gloria and Tom Hardy and John and Fern Tobin, and brother in law to John Tobin and his wife Kerry. He will be sorely missed by his dogs Zeus, Dolly Lollipop and Corporal Kaos. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
