Obituary of Silvestro Sama

Silvestro Sama, 91, of Paterson, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2017. Silvestro was born in St. Andrea, Italy on August 13, 1925 to the late Francesco and Marianna (Addino) Sama. He was the beloved husband of Assunta (Romeo) Sama for 61 years; the adored father of Maryann Gill and Frank Sama; and the treasured grandfather of James and Thomas Gill and Anna Maria, Nicole and Frank S. Sama. Silvestro was predeceased by several siblings and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10:00am at St. Gerard Majella Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:00am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
