Obituary of Ramona America Quinones
Ramona America Quinones (nee Echavarria), of Paterson, passed away peacefully in her home on January 30, 2017 surrounded by her family. Ramona was born in Santiago Rodriguez, Dominican Republic on August 5, 1930 to the late Jose Elias and Mercedes (Rodriguez) Echavarria. She was a loving homemaker to her many children, grandchildren and great children who all love her dearly.
She was the beloved wife of Manuel M. Quinones; the treasured mother of Teofila Quinones and her husband Pedro Thomas Rodriguez, Matias Quinones and his wife Seferina Acosta, Altagracia Quinones and her husband Jesus Reyes, Victoria Quinones, Carmen Quinones and her husband Diogenes Nunez, Manuel M. Quinones and her wife Celsa Perez, Jose E. Quinones and his wife Dilenia Castellanos, Ramona Quinones and her husband Ramon Duran, Julia Quinones and her husband Pedro Mejia, Liza Quinones and Violenis Quinones and her boyfriend Debby Polo; the cherished grandmother of 31 and great grandmother of 40.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:15am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
Ramona America Quinones Echavarria (MECA), falleció pacíficamente en su casa la tarde del 30 de Enero de 2017 en Paterson NJ rodeada de sus familiares. Ramona nacio en Santiago Rodriguez, Republica Dominicana el 5 de Agosto 1930 de padres Jose Elias y Mercedes Echavarría.
Ella era una amorosa ama de casa para sus 11 hijos, 31 nietos y 40 bisnietos que adoraba inmensamente.Ella era la amada esposa de Manuel M. Quinones; La adorada madre de Teofila y su esposo Pedro Rodriguez, Matias y su esposa Seferina Acosta, Altagracia y su esposo Jesús Reyes, Victoria, Carmen y su esposo Diogenes Nunez, Manuel M. Quinones y su esposa Celsa Perez, Jose Elias y su esposa Dilenia Castellanos, Ramona y su esposo Ramon Duran, Julia y su esposa Pedro Mejia, Lisa y Violenis y su novio Debby Polo; la querida abuela de sus nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos.
Visitación se llevará a cabo el jueves 2 de Febrero de 2-4pm y 6-9pm en Santagelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Una misa fúnebre se ofrecerá el Viernes 3 de Febrero a las 10:15am en St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson. Pueden acompañarnos en este momento llegando a la funeraria a las 9:15am y el entierro seguirá en Holy Sepulchre Cemetery en Totowa.
