Obituary of Edythe M De Vita

Edythe M. De Vita, 56, of Paterson, passed away on March 9, 2017. Edythe was born on April 8, 1960 to the late Theodore De Vita and Emma Drew. She was a loving homemaker to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren children who will miss her deeply. Edythe was predeceased by her husband Charles McKnight. She was the adored mother of Keith, Vicki and Laura De Vita; the treasured grandmother of Keith, Jr., Quanajah, Kaznica, Amirah, Jazmyn, Joseph, Briana, Gary, Ahshier, Amari, Kamren, Londyn and the late Kenyen and the great grandmother of Anyla and Aaliya. She was also a dear stepmother to 4 and step grandmother to 11. Edythe is also survived by her brothers Ricky De Vita, David De Vita and his wife Pat, George De Vita and Mary De Vita and her husband Jamie Mercano as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be offered on Wednesday from 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A service will be held during the visitation. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
