Obituary of Rose S Porco

Rose S. Porco (nee Trentacosta), of Little Falls and formerly of Garfield, passed away at home with her daughters on March 18, 2017. Rose was born on February 7, 1933 to the late Salvatore and Anna (D'Amore) Trentacoste. Before retiring, Rose worked as a secretary at William Paterson University in Wayne. Rose enjoyed spending her days in her amazing garden and making delicious food that was enjoyed by all who knew her. But it was the passion she had for her family that defined her. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Porco and the cherished mother of Lisa Porco Horna and her husband Mike and Melanie Porco Adler and Brian Thompson. She was the dear sister of the late Sadie May, Joseph Trentacoste, and Mary Kasperski and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8pm and Saturday from 12-3pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Saturday at 3pm following visitation at Santangelo Funeral Home. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
