Obituary of Robert "Bob" Martorano

Robert “Bob” Martorano, 85, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2017. Bob was born on November 19, 1931 in Paterson, NJ to the late Felice and Gabriella (Trozzo) Martorano. He was a graduate of the Passaic Valley High School Class of 1950 where he was Quarterback and Captain of the Varsity Football Team. After graduating, Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1951-1955. After serving, Bob earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1965.

Bob worked as National Sales Manager for the Burry Biscuit  Company.  He later worked as the Sales Manager of Pillsbury Company where he was ultimately inducted into the Pillsbury Hall of Fame. He was also the President of the Knights of the Grip, a NJ Sales Organization and a board member of SCARC of Newton, NJ which supports people with developmental disabilities and is responsible for building many group homes for their citizens. Bob truly enjoyed spending time with family and was an avid golfer.

He was the beloved husband of Connie (Paradiso) Martorano for 60 years; the adored father of Lisa Turano and Rob Martorano Jr. and his wife Eileen; and the proud grandfather of Bobby, Mark and Lauren Turano and Robby III and Tara Martorano. He was the dear brother of Helen Szeeley and the late Marie Laglia and Felice Martorano, Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:00amat Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls, NJ. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:00am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
