Obituary of William Carnemolla

William Carnemolla, 99, of Woodland Park, passed away on May 12, 2017. William was born in Sicily, Italy on December 19, 1917 to the late Carmelo and Concetta (Palermo) Carnemolla. He proudly served in the Italian Navy for 7 years during WWII. He worked most recently as a foreman for New Dye in Paterson and was a 30 year member of the Textile Union #1733 in Paterson. He was the beloved husband of the late Ninetta Carnemolla; the adored father of Tina Gatti and her late husband Joseph and Wanda Rosella and her husband Franco; the cherished grandfather of Christian Gatti and his wife Randi, Joseph Gatti and his wife Natalie, and Marco, Eric and Franco Rosella; and the great grandfather of Adriana, Gia, Santino and Zoey. William is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson, NJ. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9:15am. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
