Obituary of Rosalie Van Handel

Rosalie Van Handel (nee Wyhnanez), 93, of Woodland Park, passed away at St. Vincent's Nursing Home in Cedar Grove on May 25, 2017. Rosalie resided in West Paterson for 63 years and was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Van Handel, Jr. She was a farm girl from Hightstown, NJ. Early on, she went to business school in Princeton, NJ. Rosalie lived in Clifton, NJ after marrying Bill and eventually they built a home in West Paterson. She was the matriarch of the Van Handel family and will be greatly missed. She was the beloved mother of her son Robert Van Handel and his wife Ilene and her son William C. Van Handel, III and his wife Debbie. She was the cherished grandmother of Melanie, Kristin and William IV and the great grandmother of Elizabeth and Jack. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
