Obituary of Philip Stephen Zipoy

Philip Stephen Zipoy, 82, of Wayne, passed away on June 11, 2017. He was born in Minnesotta on July 9, 1934 to the late John and Doris Zipoy. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy for four years during the Korean War.

Philip was well known in the title business all across New Jersey, having worked as a title officer for many years until he incorporated his own company. He was a mentor and friend to many in the business for over 60 years. He was also a member and past president of the Passaic Valley Kiwanis Club, the former president of Tri-Boro Special Recreation Department and especially enjoyed traveling, playing cards and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.

Philip was loved by all who met him. He had a wicked sense of humor and always had a joke or a story for every person he met.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie (Christopher), his daughter Donna Zipoy, his son John Zipoy, his devoted granddaughter Jackie Zipoy, his granddaughter Jamie Schwantes and his great granddaughter Elle Schwantes. All services were private by the request of the family.
