Obituary of Joan E Wozniak

Joan Eileen Wozniak (nee Pratt), 89, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne, NJ surrounded by her loving and devoted family along with the kindness and support of Sister Lorraine from the Little Sisters of the Poor. Formerly of Stratford, New Jersey, Joan had been married to her late husband of over 60 years, Richard J. Wozniak. Joan was an avid reader, and her love of books motivated her to volunteer as a librarian at the Stratford Public Library in South Jersey for over 50 years. Later in her career Joan helped build a library at Archway School, a school for special needs children. One of her greatest joys was receiving mail from former students. Joan was predeceased by her sister Eileen Pratt and brother Roy Pratt. She's the daughter of Anna C. Pratt and Roy Pratt of Clementon, New Jersey. Joan is survived by her children; Jan Manger (husband Marc) Richard G. Wozniak (wife Karen), Faith Wozniak (husband David) and Anne Claire Madara (husband John). Joan is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Zachary, Melissa, Shanna, Josh, Paul, Emily and 5 great-grandchildren; Mason, Vivian, Audrey, Austin, Luca. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly in Totowa. Joan spent her last years of life at this caring and dedicated facility. St. Joseph's Little Sisters of the Poor 140 Shepherd's Lane Totowa, NJ 07512-2188 A Mass will be held in her honor with a memorial service to be scheduled the future.
