Obituary of Ralph A Lavella

Ralph A. Lavella, 87, of Woodland Park, passed away in his home on August 3, 2017. He was born in Paterson on July 22, 1930 to the late Archangel and Agata (DiLoreto) Lavella. Ralph proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1952. Later, he worked as a supervisor at Kearfott Corporation in Little Falls until his retirement. Ralph was also a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson. 

He was the beloved husband of the late Lois (DeLeeun) Lavella; the cherished father of Paul Lavella and Valerie Leadlie and her husband Robert; and the adored grandfather of Paul Lavella, Jr. and his partner Jarrett, Robert Leadlie, Jr. and Ryan Leadlie. He was predeceased by his brothers Peter and Eugene Lavella and by his sister Philomena Morano and is survived by many nieces and nephews. 
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:15am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Guests may meet at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9:15am. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
