Obituary of Evangelista Delgado-Arce

Evangelista Delgado-Arce, “Gelo”, 78, of Paterson, passed away on August 3, 2017.  He was born on October 18, 1938 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico to the late Evangelista Delgado and Josefina Arce. Before retiring, he spent many years working in construction.

He was the beloved husband of Maria Ramos-Delgado; the cherished father of Wilson Delgado and his wife Julissa, Ricardo Delgado and his wife Elizabeth, Mary Ramos and her husband Donny Fonseca. Jacqueline VanAuken and her husband Eric, Sofia Ramos and Soele Ramos; and the adored grandfather of 27. He is also survived by great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his daughters Evelyn Rodriguez, Daisy Delgado, Carmen Ramos, and Carmen Delgado.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. Guests may meet at Santangelo Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10am to offer final respects before proceeding to East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave., Clifton, for a graveside service to begin at 11am.
