Obituary of Leonides Lopez

Leonides Lopez (nee Hernandez), 83, of Paterson, passed away on August 26, 2017. She was born in the Dominican Republic on August 19, 1934 to the late Lucas Hernandez and Maria Vidal. Leonides was a devoted homemaker to her late husband Saile Lopez and to her large and growing family. She was the cherished mother of Jose "Carlos" Lopez, Primitiva Lopez, Francis Parra, Tomas Lopez, Eladia Lopez, Guillermo Lopez, Juan Lopez, Evagelista Zuniga, Santiago, Santo, Santa, Gregorio and Cesar Lopez. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, in laws, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Stephen's Church, 86 Martin St., Paterson. Guests may arrive at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9am before proceeding to the church. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
