Dear Rita, Joseph & Stephanie,
My sincere condolences on the loss of such a great man...it was always a pleasure to see Ron whenever he stopped by the BOE office! He was my "go to guy" for restaurant recommendations, Atlantic City advice or to just share thoughts of how we were spending holidays with family and what was on the menu! More importantly what stands out in my mind is that whenever you asked him how he was doing, no matter what might have been going on in his life, his immediate answer was "excellent to outstanding!" And so, in his own words, that pretty much sums it up and that is how I will always remember him... excellent to outstanding!
Rest In Peace Ron - we are all so very fortunate to have known you & so saddened to have now lost you.

My prayers are with Ron's entire family.
To My Dear Friend Ron,
In eight short years we became such good friends....I looked up to you as a big brother. We argued, we agreed, we agreed to disagree, but through it all (and there were some doosies) our friendship grew. We started out as trustees of the same Board and we worked closely together as chairpersons of the Referendum Committee....a tall task that we succeeded in getting voter approval (first time in over sixteen years) to make our schools better for our community. I could never thank you enough for all the support you gave me when I was President and Hurricane Irene invaded our schools. After we realized we had the same values, our friendship was formed. A great friendship that was cordial at first until we realized we could explicitly trust each other, then it grew and grew into a very trusting friendship. I am going to miss all those bagel and coffees and you being my co-pilot for our Atlantic City conventions. Every time I serve a hot dog (I can still hear your voice: "Yo, since you are on the Bd of Ed you have to help me with the hot dogs on Memorial Day. I don't care if you're marching in the parade with three different groups. You have to help me with the hot dogs.") pick basil and tomatoes and make split pea soup I will think of you. I am going to miss talking to you all the time and sparring about different issues. You have definitely left us with a legacy. Not only did you serve our country as a Marine, you served our borough as a Board of Education trustee and you were a Little League Umpire for over twenty-five years and a Coach for the WP Boys and Girls club. You always had your heart in all the right places and when our softball team needed another assistant coach a couple of years ago, you dusted of the old Rutgers SAFETY certified card and stepped up to help our team. You were a great husband to Rita and father to two wonderful children, Joe Pascrell and Stephanie and loved very much by your whole family.
I am honored to have been your friend and cherish the moments we had together.
"YO!" I am really going to miss you my friend! Love you!
Until we meet again....Rest In Peace
With Love,
Jo-Anne
