Obituary of Vito Catalano

Vito Catalano, 95, of Little Falls, previously of Wisconsin, NJ, and NY, passed away on October 31, 2017. Vito was born in Partanna, Italy on August 28, 1922 to the late Giuseppe and Caterina (Anatra) Catalano. He proudly served in the Italian military during WWII, established himself as a prominent, self-taught tailor in Rome, Italy, and later immigrated to the United States, to fulfill a dream he had for years. There, Vito worked as a garment industry tailor for many years and last as a quality inspector at Liz Clairborne before his retirement.  In this position he had the opportunity to travel the world. 

Vito was the beloved husband of Linda (Ciccioli) Catalano for 63 years; the adored father of Tony Catalano and Dr. Marc Catalano and his wife Rosa, and the cherished grandfather of Nikolas and Alexis Catalano. He is also survived by many relatives in Italy and NY.

Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will begin on Saturday at 9:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive at 9 am. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum, 501 Bergenwood Rd., Fairview, NJ.
