Obituary of Mark Tallia

Mark A. Tallia, 58, of Denville, passed away on December 13, 2017. Mark was born in Paterson New Jersey on February 12th, 1959 to Marion (McCoog) Tallia and the late Walter Tallia. He attended William Patterson College and graduated with a B.S. in Communications. He was a Senior Sales Executive at Sabic Polymershapes. Mark was the beloved husband of Irene (Tammaro) Tallia. Mark is survived by his dear sister, Danielle L. Porter and her husband Charles and the treasured uncle of Makayla Porter. He was also the cherished son in law of Joan (LaRusso) Tammaro and Anthony Tammaro, brother in law of Anthony John Tammaro, and Robin (Tammaro) Lupo and her husband Richard Lupo and the adored uncle of Nicole, Danielle, and Raquel Lupo. Mark was initiated into the Passaic Valley Elks #2111 in 2006. He became immediately involved in many committees and then he became Elk of the Year for 2008-2009. Mark then became Exalted Ruler for the year 2012-2013. He was then granted honorary life membership. Mark was also a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Mets. He was loved and admired by many friends, including The Stoney Roaders. Mark's fun-loving nature brought out the best in others. He was a brave warrior in this very difficult battle who handled every day with grace and dignity. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
