Obituary of Manuel DeJesus Rivera

Manuel DeJesus Rivera, 80, of Paterson, passed away on February 4, 2018. He was born in Penuela, Puerto Rico on January 6, 1938 to the late Jacinto Rivera and Hermeregilda Cruz. Most recently, Manuel worked as a bus driver in Paterson. 

Manuel was very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and had a strong belief and devotion to God. He was also a guitar player who loved music and was an avid Yankees baseball fan.

He was the cherished father of Carlos Rivera, Franklyn Rivera and his wife Migdalia, Nilda Gonzalez and her husband Hector and Martha Rivera and was predeceased by his sons Manuel, Edwin and Javier Rivera. Manuel was the grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 20. He is also survived by his sister Lucita Ocasio and her family. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 9-11am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 11am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
