Obituary of Joyce M Savastano

Joyce M. Savastano (née Torrento), 82, of Wayne, passed away on July 26th surrounded by her family. Joyce was born in Paterson, NJ on April 26, 1936 to the late William and Mary (Tucci) Torrento. Joyce previously worked at Al Alexander Insurance Agency in Totowa and after her retirement enjoyed reading avidly and loved spending her winters in Florida. Joyce was also a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church in Paterson. 

Joyce was the beloved wife of Frank Savastano for 61 years. She was the adored mother of William and his wife Barbara, Frank and his wife Maria, and Michele Falzarano and her husband Albert. She was the cherished grandmother of Kristen, William, Jr., Albert, Lauren, Nicholas, Frankie and Danny and the dear sister of William Torrento and his wife Anne. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her dearly. 

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
