Samuel Pullara

Obituary of Samuel C. Pullara

Samuel C. Pullara, 81, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2018. He was born on March 11, 1937 to the late Samuel and Jennie (Longo) Pullara. Sam was the sole proprietor of Notch Exxon in Little Falls for more than 25 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Eleanor (Pagnillo) Pullara of nearly 53 years; his four devoted children and devoted son-in-law, Kristin Peché and her husband Michael of Totowa, Karin Pullara, Brian Pullara and Kelli Pullara all of Little Falls and by his cherished dogs Rudy and Chloé and granddogs Peanut and Rainy. He was the brother of Della Pulicicchio and Rae Hamway and brother-in-law of Irma and Lawrence Byrnes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends.

Sam had a love of classic cars.  He owned and restored many throughout his life and loved going to car shows with his friends. He followed NASCAR and went to many races during the years.  Sam also treasured his many outings with dedicated cousins.  Above all, Sam's greatest pleasure was to spend time with his family at home, particularly in his backyard around the pool on beautiful summer days. He was a true family man who took pride in his home and was happiest when he was surrounded by his wife, children, dogs and granddogs.
