Obituary of Adela F Castro

Adela F. Castro (nee Artega), 84, of Paterson, passed away peacefully in her home on September 15, 2018. She was born in Yauyos, Peru on September 9, 1934 to Angel and Juana (Miranda) Artega. Adela was a loving homemaker for her large family. She was the beloved wife of Juan Castro and the cherished mother of Hector and his wife Lucy, Antonia and her husband Augustine Rios, Gregory and his wife Elisa, Victoria, Carmen, Juana, Marlene and Olga Munoz and her husband Javier. She is also the treasured grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 10. She was the dear sister of Olga Valeriano and Juan Lucas and was predeceased by her brother Leonidas Artega and her sister Delia Artega. Adela is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Mary's RC Church, 410 Union Avenue, Paterson. Guests may gather at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9:00am. Burial will follow the Mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
