Obituary of Joseph George Hayek

Joseph George Hayek, 68, born in Paterson, formerly of Belle Mead for over 20 years and later retiring to Lewes, DE, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 resting peacefully at home. Joseph was employed by J&J Consumer Products for 36 years and served in the Army for over 3 years. He is survived by his wife Pamela Lindell. He was the beloved father of Joseph Hayek and wife Jennifer, Rachel Hayek and her husband Scott Smith, Matthew Hayek and his wife Audrey, Shawna Herr and her husband Jason, and Nicole Bomberger and her husband Zack. Joseph is the adored grandfather of 4 grandchildren. He is the dear brother of Richard Hayek and his wife Ginny,Thomas Hayek and his wife Alison, and Doris Kedes and her husband Steve and is also survived by 14 nieces & nephews as well as the Coffee Lady and Lizzie. Joe was predeceased in death by his wife, Rosalie in 1991. Joe had a full life with friends and family. He loved ice pops, cycling, skiing and a good cigar. He was very loved and will be missed. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 9:30-11:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ. A memorial service will follow at 11:30am.
