Obituary of Norman Nicholas Oliver

Norman Nicholas Oliver, age 77, of Brick, passed away on July 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born in Lebanon to the late Nicholas and Sophie Oliver. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army from 1958-1959. Norman was a Mason and a proud member of the Damascus Lodge in Brooklyn for over 50 years. He worked at Continental Can in Paterson for over 29 years. He was also an active member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Little Falls. Norman was the beloved husband of Yvonne (nee DeGeyter) for over 44 years. He was the adored father of Geraldine Trunzo and her husband Thomas and Michael Oliver and his wife Nadiya. He was the dear brother of Thomas Oliver and his late wife Hoda and the late Bertha Aslan and is also survived by many nieces, nephew Thomas Oliver, great nieces and nephews, and many Godchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-9pm at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 237 Long Hill Rd., Little Falls. A funeral service will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
