Obituary of Viola V. Hollenbach

Viola V. Hollenbach (nee Piccirilli), 100, of Paterson, passed away on December 2, 2018. Viola was raised in Paterson, the daughter of Ralph and Angela Piccirilli. Viola married John A. Hollenbach, Sr. in 1939 and they remained married for 56 years until his passing in 1995. Viola was a homemaker and also worked at Shulton and Western Electric and Manhattan Shirts. Viola loved traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and other relatives.

She is survived by her son James and his wife Carmela, her 6 grandchildren: Elizabeth Kelley and her husband John, Maria Nixon and her husband Timothy, Karea Veo and her husband Dan, Christine Morrow and her husband David, James Hollenbach, Jr. and his wife Ann, and Cara Haid and her husband Christopher; her 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and two nephews Ralph T. and Michael Piccirilli. She was predeceased by her son John "Josh" in 2010, her daughter-in-law Laraine in 2002 and her brothers John and Ralph Piccirilli. Much appreciation to her caregivers Rose Maria and Ida Estrada.

Visitation will be Friday from 5-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 9:30am at St. Mary's Church, 410 Union Ave., Paterson, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
