Obituary of Frank J. Savastano

Frank J. Savastano, 87, of Wayne, passed away on December 28^th. Frank was born in Paterson, NJ on December 5, 1931 to the late Vincent J. and Maria (Batelli) Savastano. Before retiring, Frank worked as a controller for Foodtown in North Haledon. He was also a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei Church in Paterson where he also served as a Trustee for over 35 years. In his spare time, Frank loved to go fishing. 

Frank was the beloved husband of Joyce M. Savastano (Torrento) for 61 years before her passing earlier this year. He was the adored father of William and his wife Barbara, Frank and his wife Maria, and Michele Falzarano and her husband Albert and the cherished grandfather of Kristen, William, Jr., Albert, Lauren, Nicholas, Frankie and Danny. He is also survived by his brother in law Bill Torrento and his wife Anne and well as many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his brother Tony Savastano and his sisters Anna Giordano, Phyllis DeRome and Rose Rotella.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10am at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 9am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
