I can’t believe you have answered your final call. The things you taught me and everyone in our fire department. It will be hard not having you around and listening to your story’s of iron firemen and wooden ladders. Especially those times when we are working on a project and instead of going to the store we always found ourselves in you garage or workshop. If you didn’t have what we were looking for then nobody did.

We mourn the loss of dear Uncle Al. He was such a vibrant man, always had a smile, an intelligent thoughtful man of integrity. Remembering the times when as children we shared family fun with Uncle Al at each other’s home, he always had time for us kids. We so enjoyed our visits to the firehouse with him, and his stories, and the amazing train town he built. And the backyard garden tomatos!
And for Elaine, the love of her brother was important to her, Elaine had wonderful memories of times shared with Al, growing up, and sharing life’s gift of family.
Al made a positive difference in this world, for all his family and his community. He will be missed by us, and many, many others.

Albert was a fireman's fireman. Albert was a mentor to many in Fire Co. # 2 and set the bar high for many of us up and coming firefighters. He was a kind gentle man, with a positive attitude and a "Can Do" frame of mind. I will miss my mentor, and friend. Rest in peace Operator # 1.
