Obituary of Frederick Sarnelli

Frederick M. Sarnelli, 86, of Lodi, passed away on August 19, 2013. Fred was born in Paterson to the late Lorenzo and Maria Sarnelli. Frederick proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during WWII from 1945-1946. He retired from the maintenance department in Haledon Public Schools. He was the beloved husband of Mildred (nee Hall). He was the cherished father of Fred Sarnelli, Mathew Sarnelli, Diane Kilbourn and her husband Dave, Marie Rege and Bonnie Galorenzo and her husband Matt. He was the adored grandfather of Nichole, Stacy, TJ, Jessica, Ryan, Deborah, Brandon and Dominic and great grandfather of Gavin, Alex, and Morgan. He was the dear brother of Madeline Barnet, Dorothy Groppi, Margaret Brown, Amelia Meade, Danny Sarnelli and the late Anita Sussino and Betty Farina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home. A funeral service will be offered on Monday at 9am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8am. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William c. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
