William Zuccon

Obituary of William J. Zuccon

William "Bill" J. Zuccon, 74, of Moonachie, formerly of North Haledon, passed away on April 6, 2019. Bill was born in Paterson, NJ on September 5, 1944 to the late Jack and Esther (Lynch) Zuccon.  Bill was the beloved father of Debbie Keegan (partner Stephanie) of Upper Black Eddy, PA and Jack Zuccon (wife Leslie) of West Simsbury, CT and the treasured grandfather of Ian and Taylor Keegan and Henry and John Zuccon. Bill is also survived by his brother, Robert Zuccon, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents and 3 sisters.  Bill's entire career was spent traveling several millions of miles across the country as a tractor-trailer truck driver, having visited all 48 contiguous United States.  In 2007, prior to retiring, Bill's employer awarded him the coveted million mile, accident free and safe driving award.  Bill's favorite things in life that gave him the most joy were his children, his grandchildren and classic cars.  He always told his kids how proud of them he was and his love for them was felt at their cores; this love was exemplified ten-fold for his grandchildren.  Bill's hobby and prized possession was his award winning, lime green custom '57 Mercury "Lolli".  Lolli turned heads and was one classic car enthusiasts admired.  Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends; may he rest in peace.  Forever in our hearts.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00pm and a burial service will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
