Obituary of Panta Mohan

Panta Mohan, of Woodland Park, passed away on April 7, 2019. Panta was born on February 13, 1927 to Panta and Catalina Mohan in Lokve in Banat, Yugoslavia. He was one of 8 siblings. Panta married Lina Balan in 1945. He gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in the Apostolic Christian Church of the Nazarene since 1977. In 1987, Panta became a Minister and served the Lord in this capacity for over 30 years.

He was the beloved husband of Lina Mohan for over 71 years until her passing in January 2017. He was a very hard working man who retired 25 years ago after running a successful auto body shop for 25 years in Lyndhurst, NJ. He was the treasured father of Katalina Mohan, Panta Mohan and his wife Lilian and Jon Mohan and his wife Maria; the cherished grandfather of Dennis Tapalaga and his wife Julie, John Mohan and his wife Kerry, Jennifer Kaffafian, Laurie Gowel and her husband Joseph, Dominick Mohan, Daniel Mohan and his wife Heather and John Mohan and his wife Nathalia; and the great grandfather of Saige Kaffafian, Emily and Alex Tapalaga, Valerie, Corban, Brianna, Conor, Nolan and Lucas Mohan, Owen and Everett Gowel.

Our beloved Moshu went to his reward on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 92 years old.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Friday at 11:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
