Obituary of Angela Marie Gilbert

Angela Marie Gilbert (nee Spinoso), 95, of Woodland Park, passed away on April 15, 2019. Angela was born in Paterson on July 21, 1923 to the late Pasquale and Maria Spinoso. Most recently, Angela worked as a hostess for Scordato's Restaurant in Hawthorne but she most enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Angela was the beloved wife of the late Elmer Gilbert until his passing in 1998. She was the adored mother of Thomas Gilbert and his wife Joann and Marie DeRosa and her husband Edward. She was the cherished grandmother of Amy Gilbert and her husband Jason, Peter Calabrese and his wife Courtney, Kelli Fowler, Edward DeRosa and his wife Michelle and Jaimie Partridge and her husband Timothy. She was the proud great grandmother of Patrick, Ava, Jaxson, Hunter, Brynn and Madison. Angela was predeceased by 4 brothers and 1 sister and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17th from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Thursday at 11:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.

In honor of her life, Angela requested as many bright colors to be worn as possible. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
