Obituary of Hever Leonardo Pezo

Hever Leonardo Pezo, 64, of Clifton, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2019 surrounded by his beloved family. Hever was born in Lima, Peru on June 20, 1954 to the late Leonardo and Nelly Estela (Cuzcano) Pezo. He proudly worked as an aircraft mechanic for the Peruvian Air Force for 15 years. More recently, Hever and his wife owned and operated a franchise of Adriken Services, LLC. 

Hever was the beloved husband of Marina (nee Varillas) for more than 46 years. He was the adored father of Nelly Benjumea (husband Antonio) and Maria Pezo and the cherished grandfather of Adrian, Kevin, and Alexander Benjumea and Adriell Mercado. He is survived by his siblings, Carmen Lidia and her husband Jorge Tovar, Flor de Maria and her husband Guillermo Rios, Elba Pezo and her  husband Gilberto Yasila, Gladys Pezo- Fernandez and her husband Sergio, Carlos Pezo, Martin Pezo and his wife Norma, Hallder Pezo and his wife Ellen and Leonardo Pezo and his wife Rosa. He was predeceased by his sister Manuela Pezo and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Monday, April 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, April 23rd at 10:30am at St. Paul RC Church, 124 Union Ave., Clifton. Guests may meet at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9:30am before going to church. Burial will follow the Mass at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
