Obituary of Domenico Raso

Domenico Raso, 79, of Paterson, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on April 22, 2019. He was born in Calabria, Italy on July 19, 1939 to the late Carmine and Saveria (Villella) Raso. Domenico and his family immigrated to Argentina when he was 14 years old and later to the United States in 1973. Before retiring, Domenico worked for many years as a textile worker at TPD in various dye houses in Paterson. 

Domenico was the beloved husband of Giovanna (Sallemi) Raso, the cherished father of Isabel "Sandy" Corsetto and her husband Antonio and Hector "Ed" Raso and his wife Josephine and the adored grandfather of Elisa and Brianna Corsetto and Sofia and John Raso. He is also survived by his sister Maria Angela Mastroianni of Argentina, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Francesco Raso.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 25th from 4:00-8:00pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral service will be offered on Friday, April 26th at 10:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive at 9:30am. Entombment will follow the service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
